Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences and Hospital (ASCOMS), the first private Medical College in Jammu & Kashmir was founded in 1996. It is affiliated to Jammu University and is recognized by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. The institution has an annual intake of 100 students in MBBS course & 22 students in Post Graduation courses.

Lakshmi Bai Batra College of Nursing was established in 1988 to offer General Nursing & Midwifery Diploma program and collegiate Program of B.Sc (Hons) Nursing affiliated to G.G.S. Indraprastha University. The institute is duly recognized by Indian Nursing Council (INC) and Delhi Nursing Council (DNC) and supports world class infrastructure conducive for providing benchmarked skills.

Vishwa Bharati Public School in NCR, established in 1989, is a unit of Vishwa Bharati Women’s Welfare Institution, which runs a chain of 8 schools & training educational institutions across North India with over 8000 students in J & K and NCR.
